EDAP Sonolith Vision Achieves Top Outcomes in Stone Free RatesAn October 2006 publication in the Journal of Endourology compared lithotripsy outcomes for the EDAP Sonolith Vision against the Dornier Compact Delta and the Dornier HM-3, widely considered the Gold Standard in lithotripsy outcomes.
 
Outcomes on the Sonolith Vision proved to be superior to those achieved on the comparison device and statistically significant in treatment of stones less than 7 mm in size. The Sonolith Vision achieves stone free and retreatment rates comparable to those of the gold standard HM-3 but without the requirement of general anesthesia as under HM-3 treatment protocols.
 
With lithotripsy focused on rapid outpatient treatment, the Sonolith Vision provides the outcomes and predictability in stone free rates and minimal retreatment requirements to facilitate a strong financial model for lithotripsy centers.
